How to Get from Gimhae Airport (PUS) to Busan(Haeundae & Seomyeon) [2026 Update]
Welcome to Busan! Gimhae International Airport(PUS) is much closer to the city center than Incheon Airport is to Seoul. However, depending on whether your hotel is in Haeundae(Beach area) or Seomyeon/Busan Station(City center), your best transport option completely changes.
🚨 2026 CRITICAL UPDATE: Many outdated blogs will tell you to take the Airport Limousine Bus to Seomyeon or Busan Station. Do not do this! The Limousine Bus route to Busan Station has been suspended. Currently, only the Haeundae Limousine route is fully operating.
Let’s compare the Airport Limousine Bus(Haeundae), the BGLRT(Light Rail Transit), and a Taxi so you can reach your hotel without wasting time.
📊 Transport Options at a Glance
| Option | Travel Time | Fare (Adult) | Best Destination |
|---|---|---|---|
| Airport Limousine Bus | 60 - 80 mins | 10,000 KRW | Haeundae, Gwangalli Beach |
| BGLRT (Light Rail) + Subway | 30 - 50 mins | Approx. 2,200 KRW | Seomyeon, Busan Station, Nampo |
| Taxi (Standard) | 30 - 60 mins | 20,000 - 40,000 KRW | Anywhere (Best for 3-4 people) |
💡 Which One Should You Choose?
- Choose the Airport Limousine Bus if: You are heading to Haeundae or Gwangalli Beach. The bus drops you off directly in front of major beachside hotels, saving you from a very long subway ride with multiple transfers.
- Choose the BGLRT (Light Rail) if: You are heading to Seomyeon, Busan Station, or Nampo. Since the Limousine bus to these areas is no longer running, taking the Light Rail to 'Sasang Station' and transferring to Subway Line 2 is the fastest and cheapest way!
