Gimhae Airport(PUS) to Seomyeon & Busan Station: BGLRT Train Guide [2026]

As mentioned in our previous guide, the Limousine Bus to Seomyeon and Busan Station has been suspended. But don't worry! The Busan-Gimhae Light Rail Transit(BGLRT) combined with the Busan Subway is actually cheaper, avoids traffic jams, and is incredibly easy to use.

Here is your step-by-step guide to navigating the BGLRT and transferring to the subway to reach Seomyeon, Busan Station, or Nampo.

🚉 1. How to Board the BGLRT at the Airport

Finding the station is very simple. Walk out of Gate 3 at the International Terminal (1F), cross the crosswalk, and you will see the Airport BGLRT Station right in front of you.

Fare & Payment:

  • T-money Card (Highly Recommended): Tap your card! It costs around 2,200 KRW total to reach Seomyeon, and the system automatically applies a free transfer discount between the Light Rail and the Subway.
  • Cash (Single Ticket): You can buy a purple token from the vending machines, but you will have to buy another ticket when you transfer to the subway.

🛤️ 2. The Transfer Route (Very Easy!)

To reach downtown Busan, you must transfer at Sasang Station. Follow these steps:

  1. Board the BGLRT train at the Airport Station heading towards Sasang (사상).
  2. Ride for 3 stops (about 7 minutes) and get off at Sasang Station.
  3. Follow the green signs to transfer to Busan Subway Line 2 (Green Line).
  4. If you are heading to Seomyeon: Take Line 2 towards Jangsan/Seomyeon. (Takes about 15 mins)
  5. If you are heading to Busan Station or Nampo: Go to Seomyeon, then transfer to Line 1 (Orange Line).

The trains run very frequently (every 5-10 minutes).

  • First Train: Approx. 05:33 AM
  • Last Train: Approx. 00:09 AM
